How much blood shall we shed for you
how much pain shall we suffer for you
how much labor must we bare for you
how much time must we invest for you

Before you see us as human beings
before you see us as mothers
before you see us as fathers
before you see us as children

How much blood shall this land drink
how many tears must mother earth drink
how many screams must Ometeotl hear
how many dead bodies must blow in the wind

Before you heed to the truth and reality
before you feel anything within that blue heart
before your blue eyes see and your ears hear
before your soul feels the suffering and injustice

How many shades of brown must you try to destroy
how many children must weep, cry and even die
how many human lives must you discard like trash
how much blood must fall before you become human
